IRNA: Collaboration among Iran, Syria free zones to be expanded


(MENAFN) Hojatollah Abdolmaleki, the secretary of Iran’s Free Zones High Council, has stated that collaboration among the free trade and special financial zones of Iran and Syria are going to be surged, as reported by IRNA.

“Regarding the cooperation of the free zones, technical and specialized correspondence between the two countries has already been carried out and the agreements are nearing finalization,” Abdolmaleki stated on Wednesday, in a gathering with Syrian Ambassador to Tehran Shafiq Dayoub.

In line with Abdolmaleki, Iran is presently concentrating on the growth of partnership with Syria’s Hassia Free Zone and the two parties are operating jointly to implement a memorandum of understanding (MOU) inked in this concern.

In this gathering, the Syrian envoy also greeted the proposal of inking cooperation MOUs with Iranian free zones and stated that “The officials of the two countries are unanimous in this regard.”

In late December 2022, Dayoub stated that his nation was focused on the growth of financial collaboration with Iran.

“The Syrian government is ready and determined to strengthen bilateral relations in all areas,” the ambassador stated that in a gathering with Mohammad Hosseini, Iranian vice leader for parliamentary affairs
