(MENAFN- UkrinForm) U.S. astronaut and United24 ambassador Scott Kelly visited children at the National Children's Specialized Hospital 'Okhmatdyt' in Kyiv. As an Ukrinform correspondent reports, the astronaut met with the girl Kateryna, who had been injured during the shelling of the Kramatorsk railway station.
He also talked to other patients at the children's hospital. Kelly told the children about his space flights and showed photos. In addition, the astronaut presented patients with NASA badges, which he had in space for more than a year. In turn, the children presented Kelly with a 'space' painting.


After visiting Okhmatdyt, the astronaut plans to go to see the consequences of Russian military aggression in Bucha and Irpin, Kyiv region.
As reported, at the end of October, retired U.S. Navy captain and astronaut Scott Kelly became the ambassador for the United24 initiative in the 'Medical assistance' direction.
