Iran, Indonesia to grow cooperation in Halal sectors


(MENAFN) Throughout a gathering on Tuesday, representatives of the Institute of Standards and Industrial Research of Iran (ISIRI) as well as the National Standardization Agency of Indonesia (BSN) negotiated the growth of collaboration among the two nations in Halal sectors, IRNA mentioned in a report.

Joined by ISIRI chief Mehdi Eslam-Panah, as well as Ebrahim Ebrahimi, head general of ISIRI International and Legal Affairs Office, the meeting was hosted on the offshoots of the 17th General Assembly of Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC) in Istanbul.

In this gathering, the two parties accepted to cooperate for training and improvement of standardization as well as joint adaptability, in addition to the share of priorities of both nations for producing halal licenses.

The Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic nations, as an institute improving needed mechanisms for the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) nation’s, targets at preparing additional standards in the member states and eliminating technical barriers to exchange consequently surging the exchange between them.
