(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) ABU DHABI, 8th November 2022 (WAM) -- The General Assembly of the Federation of Arab News Agencies (FANA) announced that its 49th conference will be held in Abu Dhabi from 15-17 November, coinciding with the Global Media Congress.
Within the framework of the partnership between the Emirates News Agency (WAM) and FANA, WAM will host delegations of 14 news agencies in addition to observers and guests to discuss relevant topics and issues in media sector.
Dr. Farid Ayyar, FANA Secretary-General, said that the conference is divided into two parts – the first is a seminar with representatives of European news agencies and the European Alliance of News Agencies (EANA) on how to develop relations between the two parties.
The second is discussion on 23 topics of FANA General Assembly agenda, including approving a training plan until 2025, along with a number of other issues.
The Secretary-General of the Federation extended his gratitude to the Emirates News Agency and its Director General Mohammed Jalal Al Rayssi for his efforts to support FANA.
