Khamenei: U.S., Israel, treasonous overseas Iranians cause protests in Iran

(MENAFN) Head of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei stated on Monday that the latest riots in Iran were caused by the United States as well as the Zionist regime of Israel with the support of treasonous Iranians living outside of the country.

“I clearly say that these riots and insecurities were engineered by the U.S., the usurping and fake Zionist regime, their paid agents, and certain treasonous Iranians abroad supported them,” the Leader stated in a cadet graduation ceremony.

The president stated that the major issues of Israel as well as the U.S. are a “strong,” “independent” and “advanced” Iran.

He also stated that the Iranian country responded “quite powerfully” and “bravely” to these plots and they are going to do so every time its needed.

Ayatollah Khamenei also responded to the death of Mahsa Amini, a 22-year-old woman who collapsed when she was in the custody of morality police on the 13th of September and passed away three days later in hospital.

“The death of the young girl also broke our heart,” the Leader noted.
