Blinken: If Russia uses bombs, US has an idea

(MENAFN) The administration of US Leader Joe Biden has a strategy for responding to the hypothetical use of atomic weapons by Russia, but will not announce its information, Secretary of State Antony Blinken made a statement.

If Russia will use nuclear arms on the battlefield, “the consequences would be horrific, and we’ve made that very clear,” Blinken announced in an interview with the ‘60 Minutes’ program on CBS News on Sunday. He added the message has been sent to the Russian leadership openly and secretly.

“I’m not going to get into what the consequences would be. Any use of nuclear weapons would have catastrophic effects for, of course, the country using them, but for many others as well,” he rang a bell.

Blinken was remarking on last week’s comments by Russian President Vladimir Putin, who blamed the US and its partners of wanting to dividing Russia and said that Moscow will use all the tools at its disposal to stop that consequence.
