India, Saudi Arabia To Work Closely In G20 - Minister

BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 12. Minister of External Affairs of India Subrahmanyam Jaishankar held productive talks with his Saudi counterpart Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Trend reports via Jaishankar's Twitter.

According to the minister, during his visit to Saudi Arabia, the sides discussed current global, political, as well as economic issues, and agreed to work closely together in G20 and multilateral organizations.

“Warm and productive meeting with Saudi Foreign Minister HH Prince Faisal bin Farhan this afternoon. Co-chaired the Political, Security, Social and Cultural Committee of the India-Saudi Partnership Council,” Jaishankar tweeted.

Also, Jaishankar, along with his Saudi counterpart, co-chaired the first ministerial meeting of the Committee on Political, Security, Social and Cultural Cooperation (PSSC), established under the framework of the India-Saudi Arabia Strategic Partnership Council.

Meanwhile, addressing diplomats at the Prince Saud Al Faisal Institute of Diplomatic Studies in Riyadh, India's minister underlined the importance of India-Saudi strategic relationship.

During his visit to the country, Jaishankar has held meeting with HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman as well, and informed him on the progress in bilatertal relations between India and Saudi Arabia.
