Turkey’s daily electricity usage declines by 9.3 percent on Sept. 11


(MENAFN) Based on the official data released on Monday by the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS), daily electricity usage in Turkey declined by 9.3 percent on Sunday in comparison to the day before, standing at 822,242 megawatts per hours.

At 9:00 p.m., the hourly electricity usage reached 38,355 megawatts per hours. TEIAS figures revealed that the time was regional time (1800 GMT). At 7:00 a.m., the nation's power consumption reached its lowest point of 28,606 megawatts per hours. regional time (0400 GMT).

On Sunday, 810,954 megawatts per hours of electricity were produced, a 9.3 percent reduction from Saturday.

Natural gas and hydroelectric power factories constituted by 24.1 percent and 15.6 percent, correspondingly, to the overall generation of electricity, which was produced by imported coal factories at a rate of 24.6 percent.

The nation's electrical exports on Sunday were 12,627 megawatts per hours, whereas its imports were 23,915 megawatts per hours.
