Russians Strike Six Communities Of Sumy Region, Injuring Two People

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) During the day, the Russian aggressors have fired more than 220 shells on the border areas of Sumy region, injuring two people.

'From 10:00 to 22:00, more than 220 shells slammed into the border area from the Russian side,' Dmytro Zhyvytskyy, Head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, posted on Facebook .

In particular, Khotin, Myropillia, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia communities of Sumy district, Znob-Novhorodske community of Shostka district, and Nova Sloboda community of Konotop district came under fire.

Two people, members of one family, were injured in Nova Sloboda community, a shell flew right into their house. In the village, private houses and farm buildings were damaged, livestock were injured.

'As a result of the strike on one of the villages of Bilopillia community, the entire infrastructure of the village was completely damaged. About fifty shells exploded here, fires broke out in the buildings of schools, kindergarten, and post office. Private houses were damaged,' Zhyvytskyy said.

He added that no casualties were reported in the village according to preliminary data.
