Turkey’s regular energy usage rises by 1 percent on June 23


(MENAFN) Based on the official data of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday, regular electricity usage in Turkey soared by 1 percent on Thursday in comparison to the prior day, standing at 954,700 megawatts per hours.

According to TEIAS figures, hourly power usage reached 46,262 megawatts per hours at 03.00 p.m. regional time (1200 GMT). At 07.00 a.m. regional time (0400 GMT), the nation’s electricity consumption declined to the lowest point of 31,050 megawatts per hours.

Electricity output totaled 946,441 megawatts per hours on Thursday, up 0.97 percent in comparison to the previous day.

Natural gas factories comprised by 24.4 percent of overall electricity generation, whereas imported coal factories and hydro power factories constituted by 19.2 percent and 16.9 percent, correspondingly.
