Sheikh Mohamed Meets Czech Republic Minister

HE the Minister of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Mohamed bin Hamad bin Qassim al-Thani met Jozef Sikela, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos. The meeting saw discussions on ways to develop bilateral relations between the two nations in various fields. Moreover, the convening officials reviewed a number of issues of common interest aimed at strengthening co-operation in the sectors of trade, investment, and industry, in addition to exchanging views on the topics on the forum's agenda. The minister highlighted the successful economic policies Qatar has put in place to support the private sector, and pointed out the incentives, legislations, and promising opportunities available in Qatar that are aimed at encouraging Czech investors, businessmen, and business owners to invest in Qatar. The volume of trade exchange between Qatar and the Czech Republic amounted to about $165.8mn in 2021.
