Turkish, Ugandan trades to be made
(MENAFN) The Deputy Trade Minister of Turkey has pursued to broaden business with the Republic of Uganda.
Riza Tuna Turagay publicized that there is plenty of chances to get more business done with Uganda while an interview amid Uganda-Turkiye Investment conference in Kampala. He stated, "Turkiye's total exports currently exceed $225 billion and our target for this year is to reach $250 billion and the foreign trade volume stands at $496 billion.”
The conference, co-founded by the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey (DEIK), had the pleasure to have Yoweri Museveni, the President of Uganda. Riza noted that even though business volume between both countries has rose to USD71 million, however, it is still below the set goals.
Riza announced, “Through partnerships and investment, we hope to raise this. Our economic plan is focused on investment, production, and export surplus. Ninety Turkish companies attended this investment summit, this is a good beginning to boost investment.”
