Cairo – Leaders of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) and the Arab Union of Customs Executives (AUCE) started discussing a cooperation this week in Cairo, Egypt. Event took place earlier this week in Cairo
During the meeting, Mansour talked about the ABCC's work, which is primarily aimed at boosting Arab-Brazilian trade and presenting both Arabs and Brazilians with available investment opportunities. The executive also talked about the digital transformation the institution is going through with the creation of the Ellos platform, which has streamlined Brazil-Arab Trade using blockchain .
Al-Rifai presented the activities of the AUCE and mentioned agreements penned with Arab countries like Tunisia, Morocco and Sudan in customs clearance and creation of customs posts, as well as the digital transformation adopted to keep up with global changes.
They came to the conclusion that increasing the cooperation between the ABCC and the AUCE is necessary to help boost Brazil-Arab trade by removing customs barriers that could limit free commercial circulation between the markets.
The ABCC and the AUCE agreed on holding seminars and workshops, and the Brazilian institution will join a workshop to be held by AUCE together with the Amman Chamber of Commerce. A memorandum of understanding on the cooperation between the two institutions is also being drafted to be signed soon.
