Ukraine exports large amounts of Apple to Ethiopia


(MENAFN) In the past year, fresh apple exports from Ukraine to Ethiopia went up over six-fold and got to 222 tonnes.

Ukraine outdone other apple suppliers like Poland, Italy, China, the United States, and Serbia in terms of supplying Ethiopia, reported the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection informs while mentioning the EastFruit portal.

The country’s service enhances efforts to extend exports of Ukraine’s goods, in which apples are part of, by confirming to a valuation from the state control system by the qualified officials of trading allies in the field of quarantine and plant protection.

Vladyslava Mahaletska, Head of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection said, “Ukrainian products are in demand in many countries and their list is constantly growing. We receive inquiries from businesses to expand markets and actively work towards this issue with partner countries.”
