France’s Leader calls EU to act for UK contrary attitude on fishing


(MENAFN) Politico affirmed that France’s Prime Minister Jean Castex in a message called the EU to explain Britain there is going to be costs of its “uncooperative attitude” for deteriorating to keep to a post-Brexit fishing contract, upping the ante on the fishery argument.

According to a declaration, the message has been delivered to Ursula von der Leyen, the European Commission’s leader, on October 28.

Castex called for von der Leyen to show to the UK that "leaving the (European) Union is more damaging than remaining in it."

He further cautioned "The UK's uncooperative attitude today is at risk not only to cause significant harm" to the EU, then arranges a bad example on the bloc’s “credibility” and promises to support global contracts.
