Lebanese President, German Official Meet To Boost Cooperation


(MENAFN- Nam News Network) BEIRUT, Oct 6 (NNN-NNA) – Germany will boost cooperation with Lebanon in all fields, visiting German Minister of State at the federal Foreign Office, Niels Annen, said yesterday, while meeting with Lebanese President, Michel Aoun.

“Germany is determined to boost its cooperation with Lebanon, for the benefit of the two friendly countries and peoples,” Annen was quoted as saying, by a statement of Lebanon’s Presidency.

The German official said, his country will also help Lebanon overcome its crisis, to be able to advance and reach stability.

For his part, Aoun asked Annen for Germany’s technical support, in the investigation into the Beirut port blasts, which killed over 200 people on Aug 4, 2020.

The president also said that, any help from Germany in the implementation of development projects in Lebanon, including the Beirut port reconstruction, electricity development projects and electronic government, is welcomed.– NNN-NNA
