Shanghai: Balance of credits witness upsurge last month


(MENAFN)The balance of credits in Shanghai hit 8.96 trillion yuan (about USD1.39 trillion) at the end of last month, it augmented 10.6 percent from the same period of 2020.

According to the People's Bank of China Shanghai Head Office, the balance of credits in Chinese yuan hit 8.27 trillion yuan at the end of last month, it augmented 11.2 percent year on year, and the expansion rate was 0.6 percentage points higher than that of April.

The balance of foreign currency credits reached USD109.6 billion at the end of May, it increased 17.4 percent year on year.

The balance of Shanghai's deposits hit 16.25 trillion yuan at the end of May, it reached 12.6 percent annually.
