Lebanon sends complaint to UN against Israeli kidnapping of Lebanese man

(MENAFN)Lebanon lodged a complaint with the UN Security Council earlier this week about the abduction of a Lebanese shepherd by Israeli soldiers from the border area, announced Thursday by the National News Agency (NNA).

Lebanese Ambassador to the United Nations Amal Mudallali also filed the complaint to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, requesting the immediate release of the kidnapped Lebanese citizen Hasan Qassem Zahra.

In addition, the lawsuit called for the condemnation of persistent Israeli breaches of Lebanon's sovereignty.

Israeli army patrol soldiers abducted Zahra in the Hasbaya district on Tuesday, when he took a herd of goats to grazing grounds.
