
Jordan- Senate president, Cyprus ambassador talk ties
(MENAFN- Jordan Times) AMMAN — Senate President Faisal Al Fayez on Sunday met with Cypriot Ambassador to Jordan Michalis Ioannou, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. During the meeting held at the Senate president's office at the Upper House, Fayez and Ioannou discussed bilateral relations in a number of sectors.
Fayez reaffirmed the 'deep ties' between the two countries and Jordan's commitment to further them in service of mutual interests, especially in investment, trade, and parliamentary affairs.
The meeting also covered regional developments, stressing the importance of reaching a fair and comprehensive peace to the Palestinian cause, and joint action to tackle the spread of COVID-19.
Ioannou also lauded the Jordan-Cyprus relations, noting the importance of bolstering ties and maintaining coordination and communication.
