(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Doha: Moving forward on its expansion plans, Qatar Airways resumed yesterday its flight to Yerevan, the capital of Armenia. The award wine-winning airline is offering five-time weekly service to Armenia's capital. The national carrier of Qatar has also increased frequency to Clark, the Philippines.
'We have resumed flights to Yerevan. We are delighted to offer a five-times weekly service to Armenia's capital, said Qatar Airways on its official twitter account.
'With the country gradually reopening to visitors, now is the perfect time to plan your trip to see its beautiful mountains and ancient cities, it added.
Despite challenges created by COVID-19 outbreak, Qatar Airways has remained at the forefront of taking people home. The award winning airline is flying to more than 85 destinations worldwide with more than 550 weekly flights while maintaining the highest safety and hygiene standards.
On September 20, the airline increased frequency to Clark. 'We are increasing our services to Clark to nine weekly flights. We now offer 30 weekly flights to the Philippines servicing the cities of Cebu, Clark and Manila, Qatar Airways tweeted.
Qatar Airways will resume flights and increase frequency to many other destinations in coming days.
Its frequency to Copenhagen will increase to 10 weekly flights from October 15 while flights to Madrid will be increased to 10 weekly flights from October 1.
Flights to Manchester will be increased to 17 weekly flights from October 15; and flights to Manila will be increasing to 17 weekly flights from October 2.
Earlier this month, Qatar Airways resumed four weekly flights to Murtala Muhammed International Airport (LOS) Lagos, Nigeria from September 10. The four times weekly service to Africa's largest city is operated by Qatar Airways' state-of-the-art Boeing 787 Dreamliner featuring 22 seats in Business Class and 232 seats in Economy Class.
With the addition of Lagos, Qatar Airways' network in Africa has expanded to 10 destinations with 44 weekly flights to the continent including Addis Ababa, Dar es Salaam, Djibouti, Kigali, Kilimanjaro, Mogadishu, Nairobi, Tunis and Zanzibar.
The airline's Al Mourjan Business Lounge has taken every safety measure to ensure a comfortable rest for its customers.
