The government of Ecuador said on Monday that the number of coronavirus infected patients in the country has reached 101,751 as the number of deaths stood at 6,083.
The Public Health ministry said that 209 more patients have been diagnosed with the disease and 13 more have died in the earlier 24 hours.
Officials said that Quito capital city has become the epicenter of the coronavirus in Ecuador, having the most number of coronavirus cases as Guayaquil city followed, the previous epicenter of the virus.
Local officials said that the escalation of the number of cases in Quito came due to the relaxation of the lockdown rules on the 3rd of June.
