Sri Lankans stranded in Qatar repatriated


(MENAFN- Colombo Gazette) A group of 272 Sri Lankans, who were stranded overseas due to the COVID-19 pandemic, arrived in Sri Lanka today.

The Sri Lankans were repatriated from Qatar and arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake.

They were brought down via two special flights chartered by SriLankan Airlines.

The repatriation of Sri Lankans in groups has been carried out by the Ministry of Foreign Relations since the global outbreak of the coronavirus. (Colombo Gazette)
