
Panama folk singer fined $10,000 for flouting lockdown
(MENAFN- Newsroom Panama) Panama pop-folk singer Sandra Sandoval who flouted total quarantine rules on Sunday, May 24 with a trip to her Interior home linked to the widely publicized distribution of gift packs to fans has been hit with a $10,000 fine by the Ministry of Health (Minsa) for violating mobility restrictions.
The Minister of Health, Rosario Turner, said on Friday, that no one was an exception to the rules and indicated that the regional director of Health in Los Santos, Ayvar Hernández, will also be sanctioned, due to the permission he issued in favor of Sandoval on May 23.
Hernández informed La Prensa that he had not been notified of the alleged administrative sanction that he would receive.
Sandoval was caught on Sunday, May 24 at the Flores community checkpoint, Hernández's permit established that she could circulate on Saturday, May 23.
