Earthquake jolts Cuba

The Cuban Seismological Center said on Tuesday that an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.8 has jolted Cuba, it took place at about 16 km to the southern of Maisi, that falls in the most easter province of Guantanamo.

According to European Mediterranean Seismological Center, it has first detected the earthquake at 6.6 magnitude a 2 lm depth, it was later revised to 4.5 magnitude.

Maisi falls around 1,200 km away from Havana, the capital of the country, the earthquake could be felt in all Guantanamo province municipalities, Baracoa city included.
