Kuwaiti FM meets UN envoy to Syria
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Feb 14 (KUNA) -- Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah met Friday with United Nations Special Envoy to Syria Geir Pedersen on the sidelines of the 56th Munich Security Council currently held in the German city of Munich.
During the meeting, Minister Sheikh Dr. Ahmad reiterated Kuwait's support to the UN envoy's efforts to help restore security and stability in Syria.
For his part, the UN official hailed Kuwait's great role and humanitarian contributions to alleviating the suffering of Syrian people.
The meeting was also attended by Assistant Foreign Minister for European Affairs Mohammad Hayati and several foreign ministry officials. (end)
