Pakistani bus accident leaves 26 dead


(MENAFN) On Sunday, a road accident struck a passenger bus in northern Pakistan to cause the death of 26 people and inflict injuries upon 19 others.

Police officer Muhammad Irfan Khokhar explained that the passenger bus crashed into a hill as it suffered a break failed at a mountain pass.

According to the police officer, 45 people heading to their work places in east Punjab province were on the bus.

Khokhar stated "the accident was so serious that 22 people died right at the spot while four others succumbed to injuries later at hospital, and most of the injured are also in critical condition."
