Chinese wearable shipments see growth

An industrial report showed that shipments of wearable devices in China saw a robust growth in the 2nd quarter of the year.
A report released by the global market research firm International Data Corporation (IDC) showed that Makers of wearable devices shipped 23.07 million units in the period, a strong growth of 34.3 percent since the past year.
Basic wearables that do not support third-party apps, added 31.9 percent from the previous year while smart ones increased 45 percent in the period.
Earphones shipments increased 113 percent to reach 7.45 million units.
