As part of its commitment to support the local community, Al Emadi Hospital hosted a blood donation campaign at the out-patient clinics for its employees and public. 

The blood donation drive, held in collaboration between Al Emadi Hospital and Hamad Medical Corporation, was hosted recently at the hospital premises to help increase blood supply in Qatar.

As a private healthcare provider, the hospital is keen to support the local community and those in need, and aims to raise awareness and educate staff through this initiative on the numerous benefits of donating blood.  

A huge number of employees and people participated in the blood donation campaign. Blood donation offers many benefits to both the donor and the recipient. While the recipient receives the specific blood type they need to recover from illness or injury, the donor also benefits from the process, as donating blood is believed to help in lowering the risk of cardiovascular diseases as well as certain forms of cancer.
