Oman receives wounded Iranian citizen
(MENAFN) According to an official statement by the foreign ministry, Oman on Sunday said it received a wounded Iranian citizen from Saudi Arabia.
The statement said that, the Iranian is now in Muscat after he had taken the necessary medical treatment in Saudi Arabia, the citizen is a crew member of an Iranian ship who was earlier sent away for medical reasons from a vessel off the Yemeni port of Hodeidah.
The Omani help came in reply to a demand from the governments of Iran and Saudi Arabia and upon personal orders from Sultan Qaboos of Oman.
Saudi Arabia sent away a crew member for medical reasons from a suspect Iranian ship northwest of Hodeidah after receiving a call for help from Tehran as said by Saudi Arabia in June.
