60 detained Ethiopian migrants in Yemen demand return

(MENAFN) Local news website Almasdaronline revealed that over 60 Ethiopian illegal migrants, with 37 women among them, have been trapped in restive Yemen, imprisoned and asking help to be returned.

Abdo Yassin Idris confirmed: "We want to go to Saudi Arabia looking for a living not for problems."

Shmaytin is a locality claimed by the Yemeni government.

Idris added that they have arrived in Yemen in March through a trafficking boat from Djibouti to the Yemeni southwestern province of Lahj on the Red Sea.
