Melanie is a graduate of the Wilton School of Cake Decorating and Confectionery Art. Her own professional repertoire now includes an extensive variety of design, decorating, and modeling techniques as well as recently being feature on The Food Network.

While Melanie has designed a host of custom-cakes, her success with A Little Slice of Heaven Bakery all started with the lemon pound cake. Her secret recipe was created by Melanie's mother and remains her best seller. Melanie's lemon pound cake and seven other flavors, like red velvet and triple chocolate, are all available for delivery to anywhere in the continental United States through A Little Slice of Heaven's online store. Vegan or Gluten allergies? Those option are available as well.

ABOUT THE TRANSITION

A Little Slice of Heaven Bakery makes their footprint in Decatur, GA at their new location, 4808 Flat Shoals Pkwy location. After months of renovations, a soft opening will be hosted Saturday, April 20th, 2019 from 12-5 p.m. A Little Slice of Heaven is well known in the Marietta area, especially at the Marietta Square Farmers Market. However, Grant Park Farmer's Market will be their new home following the opening of the new location, which will occur the second Sunday of each Month.

A Little Slice of Heaven is bringing an upbeat energy to the South Decatur area. New renovations including an angel wing mural done by Thomas Turner (@thomasturner_tt) will be an eye-catching piece for all bakery visitors. Customers can expect top notch customer service, a modern twist on all traditional cake favorites, as well as custom cakes for any occasion.
