Niue joins ADB as 49th Asian Pacific member

(MENAFN) Niue is now the 49th Asian Pacific country to earn a membership in the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

Manila-based ADB announced on Monday its board of governors to have accepted Niue as the bank's 68th member.

ADB President Takehiko Nakao declared "we welcome Niue as ADB's newest member. This new relationship will bring Niue into the development community and help ADB to work closely on building and strengthening economic growth that benefits all Niueans."

Niue, the bank affirmed, witnessed an advantage from its solid relations with New Zealand when it comes to growth as it received support from other allies.
