(MENAFN) On Sunday, the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad stated that the Syrian constitution is not for bargaining.
Talking during a meeting with local administration officials in Damascus, the president emphasized there will be no discourse between the national side, who worked to protect the country, and others who were a puppet for the West.
The comments came as the formation of a constitutional committee to draft or review the recent constitution is on the table.
The constitutional committee is supposed to be decided by the Syrian government and oppositions, but the UN wanted a third classification in the committee also, which has been demonstrated by the government.
