Rwanda sets target of USD88m in revenue through MICE tourism in 2019/20 FY
(MENAFN) Rwanda seeks reaching revenue of USD88 million U. through its Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Events and Exhibitions (MICE) tourism strategy within the period of 2019/2020 fiscal year.
CEO of Rwanda Convention Bureau said: "I am confident we shall achieve our target considering the fact that Rwanda has become a leading conference tourism destination and competitive business and investment hub."
The country has generated USD52 million revenues from hosting international conferences and meetings from July 2018 to Feb. 2019, the CEO added.
She emphasized some of international and regional meetings lined up for 2019, including African Fine Coffee Conference and Exhibition, Africa Tech Summit, Aviation Africa Event and Transform Africa Summit.
