Qatar- Honey Market at Souq Waqif to open next month

Doha: The 2nd seasonal honey market at Souq Waqif, in cooperation with the Ministry of Ministry of Commerce and Industry, will be held from February 28 to March 7.

The market aims to support national products, open new trade channels for traders, entrepreneurs, investors, and small and medium enterprises.

Registration will be open for companies wishing to participate in the exhibition.

The organizers said that the Souq Waqif Honey Market will be the largest market for honey, as it will include all local, Arab and international honey varieties. This will provide an opportunity for companies to showcase and promote their products with all varieties of honey, they added.

Qatar Airways is expected to offer a 25 percent discount on air cargo to encourage companies, and provide freight services from shipping to warehouses, offer free stores and hotels to participants, and secure free transfer from the airport to the hotel and vice versa.

The invitation to local and international companies specialized in the production, supply, and distribution of honey, provides the opportunity for them to enter into agreements and partnerships that contribute to the opening of new markets and the promotion of mutual trade growth.

Also, the exhibition provides an opportunity for local investors to market their products to foreign markets and to identify the potential and expertise of participating countries to benefit from them to develop the local product of honey and enhance its position in the foreign markets.

The 2019 Souq Waqif honey market is expected to witness huge turnout thanks to its location at Souq Waqif, which is one of the most important tourist attractions in the State of Qatar.
