Oman- MoCI issued over 64,000 certificates of origin to products exported in 2018

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) issued over 64,000 certificates of origin to local products exported to GCC and Arab states in 2018 as compared to 14,014 certificates in 2017.

Of the 64,593 certificates of origin issued, 63,119 certificates were for the GCC states and 1,474 for Arab states. Talal bin Hamoud al Balushi, head of Commercial Licence Department, at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, said the increase in the number of certificates of origin in 2018 is due to submitting the certificates through the Invest Easy portal. 'The portal has facilitated services for many investors and Omani exporters,' Balushi said.
