Palestinian president secures 11 int'l pacts


(MENAFN) Palestine's leader Mahmoud Abbas secured eleven international pacts at the beginning of a high-level meeting on Thursday.

The Palestinian leader, during the meeting opening, inked deals which cover extra measures on child rights as well as the rights of disabled people.

The president also penned agreements including women citizenship rights along with the convention of wiping out of all types of discrimination against women.

Abbas further expressed his appreciation of countries which "responded to efforts to reach calm in Gaza Strip, particularly Egypt."
