Qatar sees increase in Spanish food import demand

(MENAFN) Top Qatari-based food distributors were unveiled to have been witnessing a growing volume of imports of Spanish goods.

Spain's ambassador Belen Alfaro confirmed that "main food distributing chains in Qatar are very interested to import more products from Spain because of high quality but competitive prices."

The envoy noted "their collaboration with Spanish manufacturers and their engagement with our excellent quality, but very competitive supply of food and beverage, make them a close partner for the Spanish providers."

Alfaro added that an increasing number of firms in Qatar have been wiping out the concept of the "middle man" though the direct import of Spanish products from Spanish producers.
