Why Pashinyan refuses to keep promises?

Nikol Pashinyan, who became Prime Minister by a very "democratic" method, recently announced that he will resign on October 15.

But on October 15, Pashinyan did not resign, and when he does that, only one god knows.

"PM Pashinyan will not resign at the stated time, and when it will be, I cannot say," Prime Minister's press secretary Arman Yegoyan said this week.

There is a famous saying 'Be slow to promise and quick to perform'. Some people are so reluctant to fulfill this proverb and It seems that Nikol Pashinyan also refers to this type of people. Each person should think before saying "Yes, I will do something". If he doubts that he cannot do, then it is better to remain silent. But if you promise and cannot do it, then you will be considered 'barber's cat'. Now it is expedient to remind Pashinyan that Armenian people will believe him once, and then, seeing that a person does not perform, they will recognize him a man who is letting the words go.

In an interview with the French TV channel France24, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that he plans to resign on October 15 to dissolve the parliament and hold early parliamentary elections. In an interview, he noted that the extraordinary parliamentary elections should be held on December 10, in connection with which he will resign on October 15.

Such an unserious attitude of the Armenian Prime Minister to his own statements is caused by the fear of revenge from the former regime. This fear does not give rest to the prime minister, makes him go against the law and look for "extreme" ways of preserving his own power.

On October 2, the parliament passed a bill providing for the prevention of the dissolution of the National Assembly. It was adopted at the initiative of the Republican Party of Armenia, but both the Prosperous Armenia Party and the Dashnaks voted for it. In fact, pressed against the wall by such a step of "counter-revolution", Pashinyan again resorted to the help of the crowd and again seized the initiative. As a result, he achieved promises from other parties not to nominate his candidate for the post of prime minister and announced his resignation.

Despite the signed memorandums and promises, Nikol Pashinyan still fears that he will be left with nothing after leaving the post. The only guarantee of his power is the crowd, but she will not vote in parliament. And how the parliament will vote in the event that the Republican Party of Armenia nevertheless takes and nominates its candidate is a difficult question. And the factor of Robert Kocharyan continues to disturb Pashinyan. Although he is under investigation, although he is deprived of his passport, he still poses a threat to the regime in general or the popularity of Nikol Pashinyan in particular.

Kocharyan recently gave an interview to Bloomberg, in which he very self-confidently talked about future parliamentary elections.

'It will be a personal victory for Pashinyan and a serious defeat for our statehood, aysor.am quotes. 'It must be borne in mind that the Prime Minister was one of the main participants of these events (March 1, 2008), he was the organizer of the unrest. Attempts to rewrite history in a more convenient context, well, the motivation (of Nikol Pashiyan) is obvious. My goal is to actively help restore this balance."

'Nikol Pashinyan's party has not been formed, it's not quite clear how this party is able to take responsibility for the most complex issues of public administration. And, obviously, they don't attract professionals."

Kocharyan is sure that Pashinyan's 'revolutionary romanticism will certainly turn into the flip side of revolutionism.

Nikol Pashinyan himself understands how unstable his position is in the absence of a program in general, a formed party and a professional team.

However, let's wait - maybe Pashinyan has prepared some kind of surprise for political opponents and the world community will once again make sure that Armenian society is at a "special" level of development of democracy.
