Algeria's Sonatrach assembles new leadership team

(MENAFN) Algeria's Sonatrach was announced to have formed a new management team in order to overturn a flow of talent from an unwieldy state enterprise which makes Algeria stay afloat.

It comes after Algerian President abdelaziz bouteflika assigned Abdelmoumen Ould Kaddour of reforming the state oil firm a year ago following a struggle with corruption.

During an interview, the president said "we have lost thousands of experienced and talented people mainly because we can't give them a salary they get now in the Gulf and other countries."

A senior company source said "the appointments still need to be validated by a presidential decree but the top managers have already started."
