Pakistan blocks monosodium glutamate salt trade

(MENAFN) Pakistan's Supreme Court has reportedly delivered a ruling on monosodium glutamate salt's trading and import to become an illegal act, considering its health risks.

The monosodium glutamate (MSG) is considered as Pakistan's top products, as it is put in various meals for the taste to be heightened.

The court orders were reportedly demanded by a three-member bench, which the Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar led, to be carried out at once by high-level responsible authorities.

Pakistan's prime minister has also received requests from the chief justice for the matter to pass by the cabinet.
