Free From Gravity Released Xmas Single 'I'll Be Home For Xmas Day'

(MENAFNEditorial) Portsmouth, United Kingdom - December 16, 2017 - After 29 years in the making, Free From Gravity are pleased to announce the release of their highly-anticipated Xmas single 'I'll Be Home For Xmas Day. The song was written on a submarine in 1988 and expresses the anticipation, anxiety and concern of meeting with a recent lover after being away for 14 weeks.

Inspired musically by the likes of Pink Floyd, Hawkwind, The Eagles, Whitesnake, U2, and Coldplay to mention a few, Free From Gravity have a unique sonic style that is reminiscent of 70's and 80's songwriting with a modern twist. Think of it like an old pair of boots with a new pair of laces. This embodies the bands 'Kick Assed Chilled Out Rock Melodic Rock with Attitude style.

Free From Gravity is a 5 piece Rock band from Portsmouth, United Kingdom consisting of Vince Barnes, Urszula Filpowicz, Roger Cooper, Phil Estell and Aidan Estell. Having been involved in helping the homeless for the past 18 months, the band recently visited a homeless refuge to entertain the residents there.

So successful was it, with many of the residents wished to participate, it was decided to form a band made up of homeless, with instruments funded by donation and the sale of the Xmas single. To this end, all the proceeds from the Xmas single this year will be used to fund these instruments.

Furthermore, the band, together with some kindly local musicians, will mentor the homeless band to help them reach their potential. They are calling this the 'Street Life project.

The Xmas single has a nostalgic, power ballad feel that, coupled with a strong, uplifting Christmas message and a catchy, ear worm chorus, will leave listeners wanting much, much more/ The accompanying video is a must see and captures the spirit of Christmas, the fun and frivolity and the joy of family reunion, perfectly.
