Jordan- Senate president, Tunisian envoy discuss ties, region


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Oct. 11 (Petra)-- Senate President Faisal Al Fayez, on Wednesday, discussed with Tunisian Ambassador in Amman Khalid Al- Suhaili Jordanian-Tunisian ties and ways to further boost them in various domains.

The Palestinian cause, the Syria crisis and its repercussions on the Kingdom figured high during a meeting between the two sides.

The Tunisian diplomat highlighted Jordan's role, under the leadership of his majesty King Abdullah II, in achieving peace in the Middle East.

He also praised His Majesty's efforts in safeguarding Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, noting that the Hashemite custodianship over the holy places contributed to protecting and preserving them.
