China spends billions on water projects since 2011
(MENAFN) China has spent a little over USD304 billion on water schemes throughout the five years between 2011 and 2016, according to the latest data.
A total of USD121.6 billion of the investment went to building and setting up 172 vital water conservation and supply projects over the course of the cited years.
Drinking water safety, flood control, drought relief, agricultural irrigation, and rural hydropower are the areas that have profited the most from the investment.
The nation will seek to make full use of all available preferential financial policies, and create conditions for private capital to join in on launching more schemes.
