Saudi- 'Children should be given freedom to set goals'
(MENAFN- Arab News) A mind-tuning trainer C.A. Rezakh has urged parents to give their wards the freedom to set their goals and pursue their passions. 'This will infuse confidence and motivate them to achieve their goal and aspirations' he said.
He compared the role of parents to that of a submarine. It appears above water only when there is an untoward incident. 'Parents' persistent involvement in their children's studies will have an adverse effect on their performance' he pointed out.
Rezakh said people who left a living legacy were ordinary people with extraordinary determination. 'Perhaps a highly intelligent student may not achieve what a mediocre student does' he said citing the real-life of stories of living legends.
'Highly intelligent students think that they can achieve everything but often fail when they are faced with setbacks in life while the average person strives assiduously to achieve his goal' he noted.
Rezakh was speaking at a workshop for families organized by Focus Jeddah.
He asked the audience to ignite their subconscious mind with some sorts of mental training especially meditation in order to experience peace and tranquility that eventually result in achieving lofty ambitions. He urged participants to purge their minds of all negative thoughts in order to absorb positive thoughts. 'By training in meditation we create an inner space in our mind free from all evil thoughts and feelings' he said.
The participants were energized by the outcome of the training and were ready to practice it in their everyday life in order to feel a purer form of happiness and contentment.
He urged expatriates to utilize the 'present' to the fullest and savor it instead of blaming the past and worrying about the future. 'If you utilize it well you can look forward to a brighter future' he concluded. Prinsad welcomed the audience while Shakeel Babu proposed the vote of thanks.
