Oxy Oman to distribute 500 tablets to children in hospitals
Children who spend long durations in hospitals are the target group of this initiative. 'The cases of such children require them to be under continuous supervision of the medics which may make them separated from their families friends schools and favourite activities' said Hussam al Nabhani vice president of corporate and external affairs of Oxy Oman. 'By this imitative we try to help the children restore their relationship with friends and learning activities' he added.
The initiative was started by giving 50 tablets to the children admitted in The Royal Hospital. A group of ten Oxy employees volunteered to distribute the tablets in coordination with The Royal Hospital administration that provided a list of children with serious cases who have spent a long time in the hospital.
Other groups of Oxy employees volunteered to distribute gifts to kids admitted in other hospitals including Sultan Qaboos University Hospital Ibri Hospital Sur Nizwa Rustaq Khasab Haima and Sultan Qaboos Hospital in Salalah.
This initiative comes within Oxy Oman's endeavour and long-term commitment to strengthen its social ties with the communities where it operates and the wider Omani population and falls under the umbrella of strategic partnerships and continuous collaboration with key stakeholders.
