Wreckage of private jet crash in Ankara’s gets cleared
(MENAFN) Officials on Sunday confirmed the completion of wreckage removal at the site of a private jet crash in Ankara’s Haymana district that killed all eight people on board, including Libya’s Chief of General Staff, Mohammed Ali Al-Haddad.
The aircraft went down near Kesikkavak village on December 23, claiming the lives of a five-member military delegation and three crew members. Operations were coordinated by Türkiye’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), with Libyan and French teams joining Turkish officials for on-site inspections on Wednesday.
Following the inspections, wreckage was transported using heavy machinery. Once the removal was finished, AFAD and gendarmerie teams began withdrawing from the site.
