Bengaluru Shocker: Wife Killed By Husband Over Money Dispute, Police Arrest Accused

A shocking domestic murder has occurred in Nagasandra, Bengaluru, where a contractor allegedly killed his wife over a financial dispute. Dariyappa, known for his flashy lifestyle and wealth, reportedly lured women with money and lived extravagantly. The incident has left the couple's two children orphaned and prompted a police investigation under the Peenya police station limits.

Details Of the Incident

The victim has been identified as Kavya, 34, originally from Belagavi district. She lived in Nagasandra with her husband, Dariyappa, a contractor, and their two children. For the past week, the couple had been engaged in intense arguments over money. Dariyappa had recently brought home ₹2 lakh, which Kavya insisted should be given to her brother. The disagreement escalated into a fatal altercation around 12:30 pm on Thursday.

Brutal Assault Over Money

During the argument, an enraged Dariyappa reportedly attacked Kavya. When she fell to the ground, he allegedly stomped on her neck with full force, causing her to suffocate and die on the spot. The brutal act has left the community shocked, highlighting the dangers of domestic disputes turning violent.

Friend's Statement Reveals Darker Motive

Initially believed to be solely over money, the case took a new turn following statements from Dariyappa's friend, Venkatachalayya. He revealed that Dariyappa had a“major weakness for women” and often showed photos of other women to Kavya to mentally torment her.

“Dariyappa created constant ruckus at home over property and money. I had tried to mediate between them several times. Recently, he moved to this house and cut off contact with us,” Venkatachalayya said.

It appears Kavya had endured years of harassment due to her husband's behaviour, which included financial disputes, mental torture, and controlling behaviour.

Police Investigation Underway

The Peenya police have visited the crime scene and arrested Dariyappa. He is now in custody while the investigation continues. The couple's two young children are left without a mother, facing a tragic and uncertain future.
