Foreign ministers of Ukraine and Hungary meet in Zakarpattia region to discuss education law


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The foreign ministers of Ukraine and Hungary have met in one of the resorts of Zakarpattia region in the village of Nyzhne Solotvyno.

Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin and Foreign Minister of Hungary Péter Szijjártó, as well as Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Lilia Hrynevych and Minister of Human Resources of Hungary MiklósKásler, discuss the article on language of the new law on education at a round table, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

The meeting is held behind closed doors. After the talks, the ministers will talk to the press.

Earlier, Lilia Hrynevych met in Kyiv with representatives of the Hungarian minority and previously discussed the articles of the new law. Until now, the Hungarian minority refused to participate in the discussion of this law.

As reported, the new law on education provides for studying in Ukrainian in schools of national minorities. The Hungarian community of Zakarpattia considers this as restriction of the rights of minorities living in Ukraine.
