Malaysia's Circle International, China's Lakala secure partnership deal

(MENAFN) Malaysia's Circle International Holdings Ltd. was confirmed to be cooperating with China's Lakala, aiming to facilitate cross border payments between Malaysia and China.

The Malaysian home-grown media technology group is determined to enter China's middle class and high-net worth consumer market after the cooperation deal, the group stated.

The partnership is to enable the group to leverage on Lakala's influence in e-commerce and integrated payment solutions to open e-commerce possibilities for its Business Circle users, as stated Circle International's chief executive officer Brian Tan.

Tan added "the tie-up will allow for increased monetization opportunities from China and the creation of a more complete marketplace within its proprietary Business Circle mobile application."
